What’s It About?
Sully: A Very Serious RPG is a lighthearted character-driven game where no worlds will be saved, and no airships will be flown.
It’s not that kind of RPG.
This is an RPG set in a magical world where people also have day jobs.
What if “Boy Adventurer” was just something people did? Like, just a totally normal thing?
What if there were magic schools where you learned the wonderous secrets of the universe and after four magical years you went off and… found out you had to pay off a magical mount of debt. So you go and get a magical job and work from nine to five every magical day, working for the magical weekends and one day you realized twenty years have gone by and wonder to yourself: where has the magic gone?
(Wow. That got dark.)
This is the kind of RPG where you wrestle with the trials of growing up in a jRPG world. Where you save orphanages from being foreclosed upon by winning prize money in a regatta. The kind of RPG where there’ll be a dance-off between rival gangs of crabs and sharks. A game where you’ll fly around in Sky Trains and Deep-Sea Hot-Air Balloons…
…both of which are way cooler than Airships.
